
I just returned from a business trip to Dallas. One of our many, excellent meals was at
Palomino, an upscale-ish chain where my wife and I (in another city) had lunch as part of our day-long celebration of her birthday about two years into our marriage. It was a fond memory and a restaurant she really likes, so I was thinking of her.
At the end of the meal, each guest gets a thank-you card with a fortune of sorts in it. Mine read:
"Getting married is like going to a restaurant. You order what you want, then when you see what the other person has, you wish you had ordered that." - May Aubrey
